Welcome to day number four of the Renegade Solopreneur Profits Boot Camp. This training program has been all about growing your income as a solopreneur. In your solopreneur business and growing your profits. And on this bonus day, day number four. I’m going to give you the keys to stop trading time for money in your solopreneur business. Open up the way for you to make a lot more profit without having to feel like you’re having to grind it out every day. Because now you no longer have to trade time for money. So day number four is all about scaling your profits by stopping the trading time for money in Ray tracks. So an important concept you need to be aware of and something that a lot of solopreneurs are not cognizant of. A lot of service business owners and a lot of freelancers don’t realize this. As long as your income is tied to the number of hours that you’re working. You’re always going to be at best half a step away from Brock. Because as soon as you stop working, guess what? The cash flow stops. The cash flow is only coming in as long as you’re working. That means you are going to be always limited in how much money. How much profit, and how much income your service business, your solopreneur, or your freelance business can generate? Because you are having to trade away a part of your life, your time to earn some money. So that’s not how you want to do it.
If you want to scale your business to the next level and get to seven figures, eight figures, or more. So think for a second about the richest people in the world and how many of them get paid by the hour. Think about the richest guys in the world for a second. Think about Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Warren Buffett. Are these guys trading their time for money? Are they making $12 an hour? Are they even making $2,000 an hour? No, they do not have to trade their time for money. The problem is that solopreneurs often think that they could charge a higher hourly rate. But that’s not actually how you make it into the big leagues. You’re going to need to escape having to trade your time for money. Otherwise, you’ll always remain kind of stuck. Even when you are charging high hourly rates, you’ll always be kind of stuck because there are only so many hours in the day. One man can only do so much work. So what you need to do is you need to become a coach and advisor of what you do, not a mere doer anymore. So that’s how you make it to the next level if you need to become a trusted advisor. When you become a trusted advisor. You are paid based on the strength and quality, and results of your ideas. No longer on you being a mere hired hand, a hired gun, if you will. So let me ask you for a second. Why does Tony Robbins get paid a million bucks by hedge fund managers for what he does for them? Is it because of the hourly work or something else? No, it’s not because of how many hours of work he puts into the consulting arrangements with his clients. It’s because he’s a trusted advisor to these guys. So a trusted advisor makes more money than a mere hired hand. Because a hired hand is like, hey, we need somebody to help with accounting.
We need somebody to help out with the graphic design. We need somebody to help out with photography. We need somebody to help out with software development. We need somebody to help out. Whatever kind of service you do, we need somebody to help out with tax filing. But that’s a mere hide hand. A trusted advisor is, will this guy help us get the exact corporate structure that’s going to save our business millions of dollars in taxes? Is this the guy that knows a lot about how I can get in the best shape of my life? I’m not looking for any random fitness trainer guy anymore. Now we are looking for trusted advisors, people that are valid for their expertise and their knowledge. And to get to this level, you need to step out of the trading time for money traps. Because it is a trap. You’re going to need to step into the trusted Advisor role. That’s where you open up the way to getting paid while you’re away from work. While you’re playing with your friends, while you’re away with your family. While you’re attending sports events, while you’re traveling the world. Whatever it is that got you into solopreneurship and entrepreneurship in the first place. You’re going to be able to do those things when you can escape the red race and be able to stop trading time for money. So how you do it is you need to package up your knowledge and your expertise into three specific types of products. So the first one is going to be group programs. So what you need to do this to liberate yourself from trading time for money. You need to create group programs where you help people at scale and you help them with your expertise. The second category of products that you’re going to create is going to be memberships. These are going to be a resource where people can learn and be part of a membership. They can be recurring monthly type memberships or yearly memberships, but, you want to set it up.
So that’s category number two and category number three of the products that you create. That helps you liberate yourself from having to trade time for money are going to be courses. So courses are where it’s like prerecorded courses where you share your expertise. You help people get the result that your expertise can help them get. Now, when you create these kinds of products that leverage your expertise. You’re able to help a lot more people than you ever could as a one-man or one-woman show. So you’re able to scale yourself as a solopreneur and have a lot more impact on the world. So you’ll be able to see people get a lot more results from whatever it is that you can help them with. You’re no longer going to be limited to the number of hours that you can work as a solopreneur. You can reach a lot more people, and have a lot more impact on the world.
